One of my favorite snacks is Fish Crackers or known locally as Keropok Ikan. I came across a factory and bought some. Its a cottage product at this village so their factory is small. The workers are mainly the women of the village who work here during the day when their children are in school.

Shaped dough will be boiled in the tank using wood fire |

Village womenfolk work at the factory, first they clean fresh fish removing bones and taking only the flesh to be mixed into a dough with starch flour and salt. The dough is put into a mixer and then kneaded by hand. |

After kneading, they are shaped by hand and then put to boil. |
